BetterAIM is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Chudek as Associate Director – Infrastructure Advisory (Water & Waste), further strengthening the company’s capability in infrastructure advisory, asset management and strategic planning across Australia.
Peter joins BetterAIM with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience delivering complex infrastructure, asset management and capital investment programs for local government, utilities and government organisations. Throughout his career, he has managed infrastructure portfolios exceeding $1.6 billion and annual capital works programs exceeding $150 million, providing strategic leadership across water, wastewater, transport and community infrastructure.
His expertise spans infrastructure strategy, asset management, capital planning, project delivery, governance, organisational transformation and long-term investment planning. Peter has held senior executive leadership positions with Murrumbidgee Council, Campbelltown City Council, Blue Mountains City Council and Coonamble Shire Council, together with engineering leadership roles at Brisbane City Council and Melbourne Water.
At Murrumbidgee Council, Peter led significant regional water infrastructure and strategic asset management initiatives that strengthened water security, infrastructure resilience and long-term capital planning. Across his career, he has successfully delivered major infrastructure programs while implementing best-practice asset management frameworks, governance systems and long-term investment strategies that improve organisational performance and community outcomes.
Peter’s expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure, combined with his extensive experience in strategic asset management and infrastructure advisory, further enhances BetterAIM’s ability to support clients in developing practical, sustainable and commercially sound solutions. His experience aligns strongly with BetterAIM’s commitment to helping organisations make better infrastructure decisions through evidence-based planning, robust governance and effective investment strategies.
